Christmas Card...

I decided to send a christmas email out instead of a christmas card simply because of lack of money, hopefully everyone is alright with that. :) For anyone I may have failed to send our Christmas email to I apologize and hope that you will find it here on our blog...

Merry Christmas

December 18, 2006

Dear Family and Friends,

We hope that you will accept our Christmas card through email this year. It is hard to believe that the holiday season is here again. This past year (2006) has been very good for us; we look back thankful for the wonderful things that we have been blessed with.

In April, we moved into Michelle’s parents’ basement in Alpine (Utah). We have been grateful for their willingness to have “dungeon” dwellers (as they call us) and are thankful for the cozy little home they have created for us. It has been a good experience for all of us…so far. :)

Definitely the most exiting highlight of our year was the arrival of our son, Jackson Marc Rasmussen. He was born on July 9, weighing in at 6 pounds 15 ounces and measuring 19 ½ inches long. He is a happy, healthy baby, who has brought joy and excitement into our home. Jackson’s favorite thing is definitely his pacifier; it seems like he has been sucking it nonstop since he was born. Marc can’t wait for Jackson to be big enough to “rough and tumble” with around the house, but he is being as patient as possible.

Michelle has been busy trying to finish up her degree. With one independent study course left she is anxious to be done. However, she has a hard time finding motivation with a cute little baby around all day. :) She is loving being a mom and taking care of Jackson all day. She continues to work 3 mornings a week tutoring J.T., a nine year old boy. It has been very convenient since Jackson can be with her while she’s tutoring.

Marc is busy finishing up his pre-dental classes at BYU. He has three classes left and is excited to be headed to dental school. He has had a few interviews, but we are still awaiting a glorious letter of acceptance, which will bring relief. He is also working part time for a company in Orem called KLAS. He has really enjoyed the job and the people he works with.

One of Michelle’s latest obsessions has been blogging, so if you would like to keep weekly updates on what we are doing check us out at: marcmichelle.blogspot.com

We hope that you are enjoying this Christmas season and all is well with each of you. We wish you are Merry Christmas and hope that you have a wonderful new year!

Love,

Marc, Michelle, and Jackson
