A few thoughts...

1. I am so sorry I have slacked in the blogging world lately. It's been crazy around here and then every time I do sit down and try to upload our October activities...blogger hasn't let me upload photos. So my apologies. With that said I was able to upload them just now...so read below for our updates!

2. A few weeks ago I asked if anyone knew where to get cheapish snow gear and there were a few people who wanted information on the same topic...so I have searched high and low and here is what I found....

-Wal-mart---has big kid sizes, just not toddler aka Jackson sizes. Snow pants or bib overalls were priced around $20.00.

-Target--- has snow pants around $15.oo, but they seemed a little thin to me.

-Old Navy---has snow pants for $34.50, a little more than I wanted to spend, but they look like great snow pants. They also have coats for about the same price.

-Gap---has snow pants/bib overalls for $39.50, no better quality than Old Navy...I felt I was just paying for the name. Also, the coats at Baby Gap...were so puffy Jackson couldn't move. Imagine the boy on "A Christmas Story" and you will know what I am talking about. :)

-Children's Place---has bib overalls on sale for $22.12. Not a bad buy and feel a little more quality.

-Gart Sports/Sports Authority---has snow clothes pants for $41.50, they are Columbia brand and very good quality, but I have a hard time justifying these, since next season they may not fit. They also have one piece coat/pant combo for $70.00. They also have a pants/coat combo (where the coat is separate not attached to the pants) for $86.00.

-Kohl's---has a coat and pants (not a one piece) for $30-$40. It probably doesn't feel quite as thick or as quality as some, but it was a great price and definitely looks waterproof and better than the things I saw at Walmart and Target. This is a sale price on items that are normal $70-$80. And actually the set I went with.

This is after all my searching and trying to find the best deal. I'm not sure that I found the absolute best deal out there, but I feel good about the snow clothes I found. Oh, and Wal-Mart, Target, and Kohl's have snow boats for around $10-$15.

I don't know if this helps anyone else, but I thought I would post what I found. If anyone has found better deals, please let me know. I haven't taken the tags off of anything yet and don't plan to until it snows next. :)

Thanks Michelle! That helps me a lot. I'd looked at the Old Navy ones and then found some pants at Sports Authority that were on sale for $25 but the matching jacket was almost $60. Thanks for letting us benefit from all of your hard work!
