18 months
We went to Jackson's 18 month check up yesterday. He seems to be healthy and growing perfectly, here are his latest stats....

Length
: 33'' (75th percentile)
Weight: 25 lbs 4 oz (40th percentile)
Head Circumference: 49.2 cm (75th percentile)

A great thing, worth mentioning, happened a few weeks ago when Jackson turned 18 months....he started nursery! He has loved going to nursery as much as we have loved having him go. He is a little unsure at the beginning, but if Marc just sits with him for the first few minutes Jackson is just fine.

The first week I went in to get him he signed "Thank you" to the leaders as we were leaving. One of the leaders asked if he used sign a lot and I said yes. She then asked me what a few signs meant (things he had been signing quite a lot that day....please and dad). Yes he definitely loves his dad. If I didn't know that from this one experience, I definitely knew it from last week.

I went in to pick him up, but he didn't want to leave. They were pushing chairs around and saying chugga-chugga-choo-choo! He loved it and didn't care that I was calling to him or the leaders were trying to get him to come, but the minute Marc walked in, Jackson's eyes lit up, he put his fists in the air and then pulled them down in front (as if to say YES!) and yelled, "DAD!" And ran to him, giving him the biggest hug ever! What am I, leftovers?! Only kidding, I wasn't offended at all, he just really loves his Dad.

Yay! Nursery! What a great milestone! I bet that's nice to be able to really sit through Relief Society, it seems like those last few weeks before they're 18 months are a little tough. I'm the primary counselor over nursery in my ward, and Whit is the the stake primary counselor over nursery for our stake, so we see each other and that's fun. Jackson is so cute. Hope everything is going great.

Did you guys decide where you were going to school yet? Amy said you momentarily considered Ohio but were probably going to Cali...like UCSF or something like that. I wouldn't blame you it's the perfect temperature all year round there:)
