Yesterday was my Dad's birthday and we sure had a great time. Jackson loved rolling around in the dirt (literally). I heard he had been swimming in it and when I saw him I knew it was true. He loves to get up close to the bugs and dirt. He was covered in dirt from head to toe. Then he splashed through the water that was washing off the patio and became a drenched muddy mess, but he was SO happy.
Then he ate a cupcake...and of course loved that.
Went for a swim. Our swimming adventure began a few hours later when Jackson learned how to clear the pool. I swear those little swimmy diapers DON'T hold anything! I really don't know the point of them yet, just that they don't water log like a regular diaper, but that doesn't really ease my mind either, because if they don't hold water...how are they holding what a diaper needs to be holding? Throughly confused about this one, but that is a post in its self.
Anyway, so Jackson had a...um, shall we say, number 2 accident, in the pool and well, it was a little messy. Everyone cleared out very fast, couldn't blame them, but my Dad was the only one brave enough to stay in a little longer.

We opened presents in the evening and enjoyed another cupcake. It was a fun day. Happy Birthday Dad.

K his little white bum is so cute! Emma has the same thing..but obviously goes up to her back where her swimsuit comes...I can't believe how big this kid of yours is! He looks so grown up! I hope all is well, getting ready to move to CA..i'm so excited for you guys!
What a fun b-day for your dad (besides having to clean out the swimming pool). I know what you mean about the swim diapers, during swim lessons I am always a little concerned about how well they really work. Gotta love it!
