I am pretty sure that I haven't done this since...well, I am not even sure when. Jr High or Elementary School? However, last Friday night we had the most beautiful weather. The temperatures were perfect for a backyard sleepover. We all kept mentioning it, but it was later that evening when Rachael suddenly started dragging all of her stuff out to the trampoline that we realized anyone was actually going to do it.
A little while later she had Amy and I talked into joining her. Amy and I were both convinced we wouldn't last the night. I don't know about you, but I do know that anytime I have tried to sleep on the tramp, the sleeping part doesn't happen. Or everyone ends up in a heap in the middle of the tramp sometime around 3:00 in the morning. Sleeping on the trampoline has never been a really comfortable experience for me.
But I was glad that in the end I joined in the fun. Amy came in around 1:00, because we were all having a hard time falling asleep, but Rachael was convinced she would fall asleep and I didn't want to leave her out there by herself, so I stayed. A few minutes later I was out and didn't wake up until 6:30 am, when the birds started landing on us! Those dang Magpies! They squawk and chase each other and are as LOUD as possible, but then to start landing on us.....well, I've seen "The Birds" by Alfred Hitchcock and I wasn't about to wait and see what happened next. :) We hurried and grabbed out stuff and headed inside.
It was a lot if fun!

HOW FUN!! I haven't done anything like that in forever either! It sounds like a blast.
For some reason I thought it was so neat that you 3 went and slept on the tramp, no kids and just had fun. I bet it brought back childhood memories or at least made you all feel really young again! Very fun!
oh my goodness! HOW FUN! I totally agree with Kara. I bet it was fun to take a little break and do "kid" stuff again. Secretly I love getting to do stuff like that with Lindsey when I am being a "good big sister."
