My parents left in the morning and I was so sad to see them go. It was hard to have them leave because they had helped us so much and it also meant we were on our own. It was the last goodbye the last connection to Utah and the last thing I wanted to do, but I will tell you things have gotten better. It was hard to say goodbye, but they more settled in we get the better we feel about things in LA.
Marc and I spent the day trying to get the last of the boxes unpacked and finding places for everything.
The next day we went to church. It was so great to meet our ward. Our ward meets right behind the LA Temple and everyone we met was friendly and nice (not that I expected them not to be, but it sure is nice to find that things are the same everywhere in the church). The girls have all been so friendly and already have called me to invite me to a play group.

I know both Marc and I felt very "at home" as we met people and attended our meetings. It is so great to have the church wherever we go. We really are so lucky. I feel like I have an instant connection to the girls and a group of friends to do things with. It is great. The more I meet people the more comfortable I feel and the more it starts to feel like home.
