We were surprised and excited when we heard we had visitors headed our direction! At the last minute Kevin, Amy and their kids, jumped in the car with my parents and Rachael to come see us over the three day weekend. We couldn't have been more excited! Jackson has been talking about going to Disneyland with Tyler and Susie, since well, as long as he has realized what Disneyland is. Everytime (literally) we go he asks if Tyler and Susie are going to be able to come this time, but of course with them in Utah and time and money being an issue I wasn't sure it would ever happen, so we were excited to hear that they were coming and that we were going to go with them to Disneyland.
We spent Friday at Disneyland. It was so fun to be a t Disneyland with some of my family. I have have told them how much Jackson loves it there, but until you are actually there with him and see his excitement, it just isn't the same. Plus it was fun to have Jackson go on rides with them. Jackson loves showing Tyler and Susie some of his favorite things there.
Jackson loved this Lightening McQueen and Mater. I've never seen them before, but they were awesome! They had music playing and Jackson couldn't stop dancing and moving around from car to car. It was so fun to watch him soak the two cars up.
Jackson went on The Matterhorn! I was shocked that he came out with a smile, but he supposedily did really well. When they went in the first tunnel Jackson was a little worried because it was so dark, to make him feel a little better Jackson started saying, "They forgot to turn on the lights. Next time we will have to tell them to turn on the lights." It was so funny to hear about.
We had a fun day at Disneyland, great weather, and short lines. They were able to walk right on to many of the big rides and I think we did everything that everyone wanted to do there.
Here is Jackson riding "Dum" On the way home from Disneyland Ryan called to see if everyone had had fun and Jackson said he went on "Dum", someone asked him if he was talking about Dumbo and he said, " yeah, same thing."
The Cars
Roller Coaster in Toon Town
On Saturday we enjoyed an afternoon out at the tides pools in Leo Corillo. The kids got soaked in the waves, so we ended up just striping them down to their undies. They saw a starfish and we enjoyed the warm weather on the beach. That evening we headed up to UCLA's campus and ate dinner up in Westwood.
The kids enjoy spending time together. It was a lot of fun watching them talk and play together. thanks for coming down everyone! It was great having you here!
