Flight to Utah

We FLEW to Utah today.   Wait did you catch that...we flew!!!  I was so excited to not have to make the drive with two kids and there is something about flying that I just love.  You get to your destenation fast, yes, but something about airports and airplanes just excites me.

Because Bennett's first airplane ride needed to be documented...somehow.
He slept in the Baby Bjourn the whole time.

I was feeling courageous and I wanted to spend a little longer than Marc in Utah, so I headed up on Monday with the two kids.  I was a little nervous what might happen on the flight, but it couldn't ahve gone more smoothly.

First I have to thank Bryn for driving us to the Airport and for conviencing me to NOT take my stroller and rather borrow her Baby Bjorn.  Boy, am I glad I listened to her.  Pushing our double stroller through the airport and getting kids in and out at security all by myself would have been a headache.  THANK YOU BRYN!

Marc had been telling Jackson airport stories for the last week, so Jackson would be prepared when we got to the airport.  He loved everything, until we got to security, yeah, minor detail that Marc had left out.  Jackson started crying when I had to take off his sweatshirt and shoes and put his "pack-pack" through the scanning machine.  Minor details.  :)
Other than that almost complete melt down we made it through the airport and our flight without a hitch.  Bennett slept THE WHOLE time and Jackson was so entertained by being in an airplane.
Oh, and another shout out to Bryn for the Chocolate waffles...both delicious and entertaining!  Look closely in the pictures and you will see how Jackson filled to little waffle holes with peanuts and would refill them as he ate one or ask for another waffle when he would decide to eat the waffle.

Jackson was beyond excited to see Grandpa at the airport and had told us all week that when he saw Grandpa he was going to say, "Sandwich!"  Its a little game that Jackson started playing with my Dad when we moved down here.  I am not exactly sure how it started, but one of them will suddenly say, "Sandwich!" and then the other will say, "Water!" and they will go back and forth saying that and switching the words for quite a while.  It is funny to listen to.
