Utah!
June 14-24
We spent Marc's break between semesters up in Utah with our families. It was great to see everyone and were were able to do some pretty fun things.
The drive up went really smoothly. Jackson and Bennett were both great. Neither of them got fussy. Bennett slept most of the ride and Jackson spent the majority of the ride looking out the window or talking with us. This was the first trip where Jackson hasn't worn a Pull-up, so had to stop for bathroom breaks, mostly bushes along the side of the road. Jackson thought that was awesome and spent a few days after we got back from Utah telling me we needed to pull over so he could go the the bathroom on the side of the road. Look what we taught him! :)
We spent some relaxing days in Marc's parents backyard, but were also able to go to the Oquirrah Mountain Temple Open House. It was really neat to walk through and for Jackson to get to walk through a temple. I am sure he won't remember much of it as he gets older, but for now he remembers a lot of it and we have had quite a few discussions on it. The best comment he made though, was as we walked through the baptistry and he asked, "Why are all those Reindeer holding up that swimming pool?" Too funny. It gave me a great laugh.
We took a fun walk on a path by the Jordan River one afternoon and were Jackson found this great stick he couldn't part with. :)
We were also able to visit Marc's Grandma Rasmussen. It was good to see her and to have he meet Bennett.
We spent a few more days down at my families home in Alpine, were we relaxed by the swimming pool most days. Jackson and Marc checked out the grease 'n go one day, while I visited some friends. Bryn and Sarah brought their kids over for some swimming time another day.

Something about this next picture I just love. I know the boys are really far away, but seeing the pool empty and the two of them just floating there talking about life.

Cute pictures! I had to laugh out loud about the comment Jackson made about the baptistry. How cute. I can't believe how big your boys are getting. Time flies.
