Meet Peddy.

(We first spotted Peddy on August 5 and on August 21...the baby's hatched)

We had a bird decide to build a nest on a pillar in our stairwell. We watched it sit on its nest for weeks...it was ALWAYS there! We didn't understand how the bird could always be on its eggs...didn't it need to eat? Well, one day Marc came out and we headed to school when he saw TWO birds sitting in the nest. That explained it. We finally understood as we watched the two bird switch places on the nest.

Jackson really enjoyed having Peddy around. Every time we would come or go he would say, "Hi or Bye" or report on the days activities.

One day we came out and saw that Peddy's baby's had hatched. Jackson was really excited to see them! But the next day we came out and noticed the whole next had be torn apart and there was no baby birds and not Peddy. Jackson was so sad. We aren't exactly sure what happened, but I think another animal or rodent must have gotten to them. Sad. Sad.
