More about Bennett:
Bennett is a great kid. He is easily entertained and very happy go lucky. He is quick to give a smile and try to cheer someone up. Just the other day Jackson's goggles broke and he was instantly upset, because we were headed to the pool and he doesn't think he can swim without them. Without any prompting Bennett quickly walked over and held his goggles out to Jackson and said, "Here Jack, you can have mine." He is concerned about other people and their happiness.
He still takes a nap every afternoon. He lays down around 12:30 or 1:00 and most days I have to wake him up by 3:30 so he will still go to bed at a decent time. Only bad thing about his nap...the grumpies that usually follow for the next 20-30 minutes from having to be woken up. :) Oh and just a little fact. He sleeps in the crib (now Stella's crib, and Stella sleeps on my bed with a barricade or pillows and blankets around her. I have thought about making this habit of needing to sleep in the crib change, but really nap time is just too precious to mess with. :)
Bennett loves to play outside. He loves to hunt for "rollies" (rollie pollies), slide, and especially be pushed on the swing. He could be pushed on a swing for hours (I don't think this has changed since he was born, he has always loved this).
He can be a stubborn kid too. If he gets it in his mind that he doesn't want to do something there will be no way of talking him into it. If we want him to smile for a picture and he doesn't want to we have to tell him to frown or not be in the picture and then he wants to be.
I loves to be silly and if he can get a laugh out of you for doming something once, why not do it 30 more times?! :)
He hates cold water (for swimming or bathing). He spends the majority of the time at the beach sitting on the blanket next to me eating or digging in the sand. He will send Jackson down to the water to get him some, if he needs it. At our pool, he mostly sits poolside by me or runs around the outside watching the kids inside the pool playing.
He has specific traits that he has assigned to a few people and no one else can do them with him. The two biggest of these are "knuckles" and "squeezes", if anyone asks to give him knuckles he will quickly respond, "No, only Kris do that" (Kris is one of my friends). If anyone asks for a squeeze he will quickly respond, "No, only Nancy do that." (Nancy is another of my friends).
He loves to do anything Jackson is doing. He wants to be just like Jackson (much to Jackson's disdain). He copies most everything that Jackson does from what Jackson is wearing, if he is taking a shower or a bath, or which cookie he is choosing. Jackson is usually a good sport about this, but I know it can start to drive him nuts. :)
Beary is still never too far away.
Bennett loves to go on walks in the neighborhood.
