Graduation Day
June 2, 2012

The day came whether we were ready or not.  I am so proud of Marc and everything he has accomplished and done over the last 4 years.  The long nights of studying and hours .  All of time spent in the clinic working on learning this new trade has been extremely impressive.  I know I couldn't have done it, as much as I thought my job of taking care of the kids was hard, I know I wouldn't have ever traded him positions.  He did an excellent job and I am so proud of him!  Way to go Marc!

At the actual Graduation Ceremony they had the pomp and circumstance playing as the graduates paraded in, it was then that I realized how "real" this all was and that we were all done.  It was a very bitter sweet moment.  I wish you could have seen Jackson's face as he was beaming from ear to ear with his fists clinched above and bouncing up and down in his seat, saying, "That's my Dad!" (over and over) when he saw Marc come in.  It was so incredibly cute!  Jackson was so excited for Marc.  He has asked Marc a few times leading up to this day if he was sad his school was almost done and if he was going to miss his friends, such big questions, but I think he genuinely wanted to know and  was worried about Marc (think because he is also worried about himself and the big move we have ahead).

Anyway, the graduation ceremony went, as graduation ceremonies do.  Nothing too notable.  Marc gave the boys a few good laughs from the stage and Stella and I ended up spending the last half of graduation standing  in the back of Royce Hall.  It was a great day for all of us.

After taking pictures with friends and family we headed back to our apartment complex and had lunch in the community center (we reserved for the little celebration).  It was a fun celebration and we were glad we could have so much family with us to celebrate!

Congratulations Marc!  We sure love you!

Trying to get a celebratory jump off the steps at Royce Hall. Ha.  :)
(I actually don't have any other pictures from the day because I took them all on my sisters camera...so I will have to get those)

Ha! I love the family jump pictures!! Too funny!! And, I totally remember all those same feelings as Aaron graduated. There really isn't a better word than what you used, "bittersweet". So glad to move on, but sad to leave. Crazy the paths we end up going on!
So excited for your new adventure!!
