Our Last Two Days in LA.
June 22-23, 2012
We thought this was going to be our last day in Los Angeles. but these cute faces convinced us to stay an extra day and we didn't actually end up leaving until Sunday morning. We were definitely having a hard time saying goodbye. On Friday we grabbed Taco Bell and headed to Ocean Park Beach for our last time (Boo.). We played and played and had a hard time calling it a day, since we were all having so much fun! Craig and Marc did some surfing and playing with the kids in the water, while Nancy and I got in some great talking time. We soaked in some sun and eventually called it a day.
We went with them to Baby Blue BBQ (I definitely recommend to anyone looking for good BBQ in LA) for dinner. It was at dinner that they convinced us to go out to breakfast the next morning at The Griddle. We had always wanted to try it, but hadn't ever had a chance.
We woke up bright and early and got up to West Hollywood in record time. Who would have thought the roads would be empty at 8:00 in the morning?! Ha! I led us on a wild goose chase (trying to miss "traffic", that didn't exist). Too funny.
They gave us their VIP room in the back (I think because we were such a large group with so many kids we scared them). The food at the Griddle is amazing! I ordered Red Velvet Pancakes (as large as the plate) and they were really good! Some of the other notable orders the eggs, Oreo pancakes, a cream cheese stuffed waffle...seriously all good! We loved it! And were so glad we stuck around an extra day to experience them.
The rest of the day we filled with odds and ends and cleaning the apartment. It was so hard to wake up on Saturday morning and say goodbye to Craig and our lives in LA. We have loved having Craig live with us! He has been so fun to have around and a really great extra set of hands when we needed it. Bennett still doesn't get it and wonders when Craig will be moving in with us in Florida, but Jackson was talking about it with Bennett and my Mom one day and he said, "Stop talking about it guys. I am REALLY going to start crying." The kids love Craig.

I didn't realize Craig had been living with you guys? We LOVED it when Becca lived with us for a little while. So sweet that your boys adore him so much. I lived Jackson's comment about REALLY crying if you kept talking about him. Too sweet. Glad you guys lived it up on your last two days!!
