Our Current Situation...

Even Jackson must feel the despair of our current situation...I'm only teasing. We are definitely not in despair. I just thought this was a funny picture. He loves to bury his head like this.

I've had quite a few people asking me lately what we are doing, if we have gotten into Dental School etc. So here is the quick update for those that are interested. Marc has been waitlisted at Maryland and UPenn. We could hear from either of those schools up until the day that classes start; if someone drops out or they have an opening from some other reason. We keep our fingers crossed and hope that will happen.

However, because we don't know what will happen we are putting our AADSAS (dental school application), together again for May 15....when it become avaliable to re-apply. We plan on having it all back in the very first day. We hear that this was the big problem with his application in the first place. The schools have told us that we applied too late. Marc had his application in on August 1...however, most kids had theirs in by the beginning of June. And interviews started in July. We only waited as long as we did because Marc needed the spring semester classes and time to stucy for the DAT to apply for dental school.

Anyway, our plan is to make plans as if we aren't going to dental school this summer and get a job etc. We will wait the year and see what happens with his dental school applications this next go around and then go from there. Hey if anyone knows of a job avaliable we are open to almost anything! :)

Just a little update on us.

That must be hard to have to play the waiting game and really not know until right before. My sister Jessica and her husband were exactly in that situation too and were put on like 3 different wait lists and it was so hard for them not to be able to make plans. But Good Luck. I'm sure things will work out well for you guys--it's hard to just wait and feel like your life is on hold--sometimes it's so hard to be patient! Good luck finding a job too--I will keep my eyes open to anything that is available down that way.

PS Very funny picture of Jackson!...very fitting.

Good luck to you guys. It is so hard to have your life on hold not sure if you are staying or going!!! I feel for you. Seems we have done that a time or two. It always seems to work out but the unknown is always hard to deal with. Good luck. I do wish you guys would move out so we could consider moving into your parents house or at least storing some of our stuff there!! Ha!

Wait a minute--I thought we were suppose to be empty nesters. We do have some apartments you can move into when you turn 55.

That wasn't me talking...that was your cousin Amy! But, moving in isn't a bad idea!

Amy, when I commented on being, or wanting to be, empty nesters, I thought I was talking to Amy Martin. I should have known it was you when you mentioned storing stuff here. It seems like only yesterday we were hauling your stuff up and down our stairs and to and from Provo. Some memories never fade.:)

Good luck! It all seems to work out, even though the wait is hard. Do you have a #1 choice, or are you fine with where ever? PS-cute picture of Jackson!

Also, I keep meaning to post again, but haven't had time to play around with it yet, and it all seems so confusing right now. Any tips...?

Hey hang in there. We had a couple of our friends do that and everything ended up just fine. But I hope you hear from one of those 2 schools. But if not, applying early is the best thing you can do. Things will be okay. And this is all happening for some reason.
