Moving...
September 2, 2008

We loaded up our moving trailer...well, it started out as a trailer, but we quickly realized that our stuff was not going to fit, so Marc and my Dad went back down to the rental place and got a truck. We now had the perfect amount of space, but it wasn't exactly fun to re-pack things into a new space.

They were good sports and spent the whole day packing the truck, while I spent the day doing laundry and packing up all the "odds and ends" left laying around in the basement. I was shocked by how much time "odds and ends" actually took to pack up! Lucky for me Amy gave me a little help and was able to convience me to just start sticking things in boxes.

It can be a little tricky trying to pack up a space that people are still living in. I am sure we left somethings behind, because it is hard to see everything, but if we left, I am sure we don't need it too bad. :)

Well, the kids had fun playing in the truck and couldn't have been happier. Truth be told, I was pretty alright with everything that was going on as well. The sadness hadn't really hit yet. I don't think I quite realized we were leaving. It wasn't until I had to say good-bye to a few of my siblings and friends and then drive the truck out of town that I realized the reality.

We had people stop in that evening to say good-bye...thank you Melissa and Sarah. It was great to see both of you. Jackson is definitely going to miss playing with Blake. They play so well together that I know I am going to miss it too.
