Going Private

You can't tell me that you wouldn't do
everything in your power to keep this cute face safe.... :)

I really hate to do this and have sworn to myself I never would, simply because I find too much fun looking though other people's blogs and always hate when they have to go private. Sometimes they are people that don't realize I am "blog stalking" them and I don't have to guts to out right tell them to add me to there list, because well...they don't know me all too well or they know me, but they are just an acquaintance from somewhere in my past (not a really good friend, but someone that I know somehow). My friend Rachael said it best on her blog recently

"For you "privates" -- haven't you ever been on a friend's blog, clicked on someone you know from their links list again and again until you found yourself on a long-lost whoever's page? It's thrilling -- try it if you haven't. It's better than People magazine.
You may be arguing, "well if you know them anyway, then it doesn't matter if their blog is private because they can put you on their 'list'. " This is the delicate part. These exciting blog-discoveries tend to be those of acquaintences , former peers, or just people I gawked at in high school (their blog gives me to opportunity to continue to gawk). It's a lot less creepy than it sounds because while we aren't close friends, they could probably pick me out of a line-up."

Rach, I completely agree with you and am sorry to be doing this, but....

.....after a few Long conversations with several people and a strange email I've decided that it's not safe for me to put so much information out there about our lives. There are just too many wierdo's out there and lets face it, I am not living in cute little Alpine anymore! :)

I don't like the idea of people knowing so much about us and our goings and comings; with cute little Jackson and another baby on the way. I would feel absolutely terrible if anything were to ever happen because of the information that I posted on our blog.
